SCOPE

This project involved the delivery of a comprehensive road infrastructure upgrade designed to improve safety, traffic flow and overall network performance. Key construction activities included demolition works, bulk earthworks, road widening with subgrade treatment, installation of new medians, traffic signal construction and commissioning, asphalt surfacing, and final landscaping works.

Throughout delivery, the project team successfully managed several significant challenges. During construction, site investigations identified that existing subgrade conditions differed from the original design assumptions. GRC Civil worked closely with project designers and stakeholders to rapidly review and implement an alternative engineering solution, minimising delays and maintaining project progress.

The project was also delivered on a high-volume traffic corridor carrying more than 10,000 vehicles per day. To minimise disruption to road users, works were carefully staged around peak traffic periods and construction activities were aligned with the existing road corridor wherever practicable.

The successful completion of these works has enhanced road safety, improved traffic efficiency, and delivered a more functional and attractive transport corridor for the local community.
