This project involved the construction of a new signalised intersection at the entrance to King’s Christian College on Pimpama Jacobs Well Road, improving safety and traffic efficiency for students, staff, and the surrounding community.

Construction works included:

• Demolition and earthworks
• Cement treated base pavements
• Median construction
• Signal installation and commissioning
• Asphalt surfacing
• Landscaping
• Footpath amendments

A key challenge of the project was the limited construction window, with works required to be completed between the end of one school year and the commencement of the next. The project was also delivered on a high-traffic roadway carrying more than 5,000 vehicles per day, while managing weather impacts within the tight program timeframe.

Through careful staging and efficient delivery methodologies, the project was successfully completed within the required timeframe, minimising disruption to road users and the school community.
